With all of the recent talk, on right-wing talk radio and elsewhere, of Obama being a socialist–I found myself wondering what the real socialists of America think of President Obama. Upon Googling “Socialist Party of America, Obama” I was fortunate enough to stumble upon the website of the Socialist Party’s of America’s 2008 Presidential candidate, Brian Moore. Mr. Moore had recently issued a press release regarding Obama’s then-recent capping of CEO’s salaries (only those CEO’s who were accepting bailout money). In the statement, Brian Moore congratulated Obama, saying “This is a good start toward socialism”.

So while he is not a socialist himself,  the socialists certainly think well of his political movements.
